Handling demanding services in a Metro network: TransPacket offers transparent Ethernet with wavelength-grade QoS for guaranteed and efficient transport of demanding services. Additional packet paths fills in any vacant capacity using statistical multiplexing, allowing capacity utilization as for packet switched systems.

Metro WDM systems. TransPacket offers 10 Gb/s Ethernet Wavelength Division Multiplexed (WDM) systems for the Metro network. Through transparent Ethernet (virtual wavelengths) a seamless migration path from Gigabit Ethernet WDM systems to 10 Gigabit Ethernet systems are provided.
